To create a password for the client portal, first you’ll need to make sure the portal is enabled. Go to Advanced Settings > Client Portal. Check Enable portal. Now you can go ahead and enhance security by making the portal password protected. On the Client Portal page, check the box next to Password protect invoices. Then, you’ll need to set a unique password for your clients. To do that, go to the Client / Edit page for each of your customers, and assign a password in the Password field, which is located beneath the Phone field in the Contacts section. (You can assign a different password for each contact person for the same Client.)

Want to assign passwords but don’t need the hassle of creating them? Just check Generate password automatically, and the Invoice Ninja system will create the passwords and send them out for you.
